Fair Work Commission: Delivering Fairness Faster
The FWC aimed to modernise its unfair dismissal conciliation services, which were hindered by outdated systems and manual processes. Partnering with Exco Partners, they adopted a human-centred design approach to build a seamless, secure, and scalable digital platform using Microsoft technologies. The solution included AI-powered case routing, a customer portal and automated workforce management tools. These innovations significantly improved case handling efficiency, agent productivity, and public engagement. The transformation continues, with future enhancements focused on expanding AI capabilities and refining service delivery.
From Complexity to Clarity: Digitising Australia’s Wage System with MARS
The Fair Work Commission (FWC) replaced its outdated Modern Awards Pay Database (MAPD) with a new system called Modern Awards and Rates System (MARS). Developed by Exco Partners using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure, MARS is a low-code, scalable platform designed to streamline award management, reduce operational risk, and enable business users to manage complex pay data independently. The transformation significantly enhanced processing speed, data accuracy, and user autonomy, supporting FWC’s broader digital strategy and improving compliance and efficiency in managing over 70,000 pay rates across 155 modern awards.
Powering Regulatory Intelligence: ASIC’s Data Platform Transformation
ASIC partnered with Exco Partners to modernise its Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), a key enabler of regulatory enforcement, analytics, and digital services. Using a modern data stack Databricks, Delta Lake, Data Vault 2.0, R Studio, and Collibra, Exco Partner delivered a scalable, governed platform that now supports strategic initiatives like investigations and the Modernisation of Business Registers. Every Drop Counts
Red Cross Lifeblood plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, reliable blood and plasma supply across Australia. However, legacy systems limited real-time visibility, affecting responsiveness to shifting supply and demand. To address this, Exco Partners implemented a scalable, real-time data platform using Delta Live Tables on Databricks. The solution, known as Bloodlytics, delivers real-time insights, enhances operational efficiency, and supports faster, life-saving decisions.
AI in the City: Delivering Practical Benefits
The City of Melbourne provide essential services to millions of residents and businesses. The council was keen to understand how Generative AI would impact employee experiences. Exco conducted a two-part pilot using Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio which was aimed at assessing risk, user adoption, cost, and business benefits.

A multi-entity manufacturing organisation running Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 required urgent ERP modernisation due to end-of-life constraints and increasing system complexity. Melton City Council had no reliable way to track labour budget movements through the financial year. Exco Partners built a reporting platform giving the executive team visibility of every position and cost change, governed by approvals and audit trails.

In order to grow market share and capture potential lending value, they have identified the need to invest in their digitized experiences, increase operational efficiency and design the right service model for this customer segment. Bendigo Bank engaged Exco Partners for Customer Experience design and to help answer the question, “How might we design a viable and sustainable business model that stays true to Bendigo and its community?”
Complaints & Enquiries Case management
The Department of Transport needed an uplift to their enquiries and complaints platform. The current platform was outdated, causing a poor employee experience for the PTV agents and resulting in a poor customer experience.
